Keyword Elite Review
Get past all the sales hype about "push button money making" and all
that stuff. Keyword Elite scrapes various sources, such as Google,
Yahoo!, Ask, Yahoo Search Marketing, and others, to produce a list of
keywords whose quantity is specified by you.
It's a rather funky set-up, I'll admit. I expected a singular
interface: one interface where I could control functions. Instead, you get
a drop-down menu that allows you to choose which project you wish to engage in:
- Create a keyword list
- Analyze pay per click listing
- Select a keyword list
- Analyze keyword competition
- Spy on AdWords competition
Please see our Inside the Product section for objective listing
of the
contents of Keyword Elite.
Is Keyword Elite Any Good?
The Good Stuff
- Keyword Elite is one cost, then you own it. This is a real
breath of fresh air if you have contemplated the high recurring fees of
WordTracker.
- Keyword Elite lets you export your keyword results. This is
not a big deal in the world of paid keyword generators. But as opposed
to a free keyword generator, which is very reluctant to let you pull
keywords off the page, this is a good point.
- "Spy" function lets you see competitors' bid prices in AdWords.
I rarely use this, but my understanding is that a lot of people value this
function.
- You can manipulate keyword results. Easily add brackets,
quote marks, etc.
- Success Blueprint E-Book. Most of these free bonus e-books
that come along with internet marketing software are--well, they pretty much
suck. The Success Blueprint is good. Not exactly the $67 value
they boast about, but worth downloading and skimming before bedtime.
- Keyword Elite stays updated. Email updates come your way.
Often enough that you feel that Callen hasn't abandoned his customers.
The Bad Stuff
- No smooth way to go from project to project. The way
Keyword Elite is set up, you work on separate "projects" rather than moving
seamlessly through them. That's my biggest beef.
- Slow to generate keywords. Not my personal concern, because
I'm happy to let Keyword Elite work in the background while I do other
things. But some people on forums have mentioned the slowness of it.
- The "Pushbutton Create-AdSense-Site" Function. For lack of
a better word, that's what I call it. KeyWord Elite purports to take
you from keyword research smoothly on to web page creation and even on to
creation of AdWords ad...all in one single motion. Theoretically
possible, but it doesn't really work in practice.
- The forum. Not much of a draw. Not active, and most
recent posts tend to be quite old. I shouldn't complain, I suppose, as
I haven't added to the forum much.
- The sales videos. I just had to mention this. They
are a little too slick for my taste. In fact, it was the video about
the "Pushbutton Adsense Site" function that cinched the deal for me, and as
you see above, this function doesn't work so well.
